Challenge

The DivyUp team understood that core to their value proposition are the principles of ease and speed. To achieve this, they turned to Bonsai with two challenges:

1. Design an aesthetic, seamless, mobile-first user experience
2. Help users set up complex payment routing that feels simple

Additionally, as with all financial products, security is critical. To protect users and build user confidence, DivyUp challenged Bonsai to design and develop their security and verification processes, as well as their bank integrations.

Solution

Solving DivyUp’s challenges allowed us to flex a wide range of our services:

• We led a customer-centric design process, incorporating; rapid user research, prototyping and testing of various product experiences. Through an iterative process we learned how to create a sophisticated financial services product that feels simple and easy.
• Central to the DivyUp product are a range of bank integrations and payment flows. We assessed a selection of providers and decided to partner with Zai, so we could simplify complex payment flows with their API automation.
• Our full stack engineers then build DivyUp’s user-facing app, admin portal, backend APIs, AWS infrastructure and security processes.

Outcome

By applying many of our Web2 services, we were able to help DivyUp realise their ambition to create “the easiest way to receive, sort and send your pay.”
